Fun game. Good graphics. Wish there were more tracks and more online presence would good.. It is early acess i know bretty good game if you like mario kartnot too hard at the beginning, would be good to be able to change to a controller tho ^^ 5/5. All star fruit racing is a good twist on the kart racing genre. The tracks were fun to play and graphics are decent. I must of gotten the version without online multiplayer because I got my copy for 17 dollars from the humble bundle store. I thought. Well if it's cheaper anywhere else Then why not. And that's what I did. I don't know if the 33 dollar version does include the online multi or I just lucked out. That said I beaten all the cups within about 5 hours. And afterwards I felt like I played enough and didn't feel like doing anything else in the game. If steam had a mild option instead of yes or no then I'd pick that in a heart beat. Not a great game. Not awful either.. This is a pretty good kart game, especially for one that came out of nowhere from a new indie dev. Mechanically it works well enough, though it lacks the level of depth in the mechanics that you would expect from, say, any given Mario Kart. It's still pretty enjoyable, even playing singleplayer "career" mode, once you've cleared the first few painfully easy cups.Unfortunately, while I'd like to consider that fair praise and move on- there's so much promise here that's just out of reach!I'd love to see some more complexity added for the people that desire it. Tricks or wheelies or who knows what- just something to provide a higher level of play for the kart-racing fans.In the audio department... where do I start. The audio is far and away the weakest part of the game. Honestly I'd love to see a whole new soundtrack brought in that brings a higher level of excitement and energy. Also there's a lot of cheap-sounding or stock sound effects and poor quality voice clips that aught to be replaced. It strikes me as though a lot of this was put in as placeholders, and then at some point it was just decided that, eh, it's good enough, right? After a few cups I ended up shutting the in-game music off so that I could listen to livelier soundtracks.Finally, the graphics. I've absolutely nothing but praise for the aesthetics, however I can't help but feel that the way they are rendered does them a diservice. Maybe this is more personal preference, beyond some stiff character animations that could use a bit more work. I played with the settings, turning everything all the way up, then tweaking things up and down to preference, but nothing looked right, and the highest settings seemed to make the game look more washed out. Somehow the colors look more saturated to me in the store screenshots than they do in the actual game on any setting, but beyond that I feel like some optional shaders wouldn't hurt. I'd love to see things pop more than they do currently. A graphical mode that embraced a more cell-shaded, cartoony look would do wonders. Maybe even try an outline around things similar to what Borderlands does.I'd love to see the devs keep refining and polishing this game to make it a stand-out title that really feels unique when compared with its competition. I understand if that's not an option, but it would certainly be nice to see the game go from just OK to an easy recommendation.. Easy to learn but hard to master, choose your character, customize your kart and play the way that tempts you most!. It's a good game, a very, very solid base, with a few drawbacks than may or may not be subject to change - only time will tell. It's visually appealing, the artstyle is great, and it runs fluently on even weaker machines (I tried it on my AMD-7700k APU and it worked). Clearly, the developer put a lot of effort into the game. It needs a little bit more polish, but it's far, far from buggy.Thankfully, you don't need to rely on my word for it - the dev has put out a demo that you can try for free, and I advise you to use that opportunity.However, there's some criticism too: Collision physics are not there yet, and the handling might need a tuning.With the product I've seen so far, I'm confident that the devs will release a compelling product. I can tell a lot of work went into this game; I worry it went into the wrong places. for example: there's a detailed car-customizing option (20+ horn sounds!) and tons of characters to unlock, but the UI looks like it's only half-done, the soundtrack is uninteresting, the death transition isn't complete, the track geometry is hard to read...I realize this was a project by a small team, but if you want a whacky racer, and don't have a Nintendo system, All-Star Fruit Racing is not the answer. it doesn't look done; it doesn't FEEL good. get one the Sonic racing games, instead. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is excellent, and they're coming out with a new one in late 2018/early 2019.
